Gustin is available for adoption.
He is 4 years old and weighs 10 lbs. His adoption fee is $500.00. Gustin had his vetting this week and was a true angel!! He actually fell asleep waiting for his blood testing to be completed. He gets very nervous in the car. He pants a lot. He is continuing to show bits of his personality. He is very quiet. He does not need much attention. He eats well and is a wonderful walker. He does not pull at all. If anything he stays too close. He comes to you when he wants some love and petting. He puts his paws up and is just the cutest thing. Sometimes if he is sitting beside you he will nudge your hand as if to say ‘pet me please’. He does not play with squeaky toys. He is content to sit and take it all in. He LOVES sitting on my back portico when it’s not 100 degrees to watch the birds and squirrels. He is okay with other dogs. He grew up with Griffin (another foster) but he really does not interact with my dogs. He is always off to the side watching but he doesn’t avoid them. After a lot of mutual sniffing everyone in the #nealpack has decided he may be a foster only. He prefers his Wrapped in Love blanket on the floor as opposed to a dog bed. He likes his walks and with the help of the anti inflammatory he is managing the steps better. He was a dream to bathe and he even let me trim the hair around his eyes and ears. He is used to being groomed. He is an old soul. His eyes seem so wise. He is loving on his terms and super easy. He will do well in a home where not too much is expected of him. He just wants to follow you into each room and sit back and ‘guard’ you. I will miss him when he is adopted. He is a sweet little guy. Gustin is staying with Sharon in Hopewell, VA. Save A Yorkie Rescue, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) qualified non-profit organization operating on donations from Yorkie lovers who care. Please help by donating your tax deductible donations. OR mail your check or money order to YOUR generosity is appreciated! Young Yorkies will have a higher adoption donation since they are the most highly sought after and they help to cover the costs of the older dogs who have a harder time finding a loving home. It is sad but true that people overwhelming demand very young dogs when they would be infinitely happier with a mellow adult. ADOPTION AREA Save A Yorkie Rescue prefers to adopt only in the PA, NJ, western NY, DE, MD, VA, some CT area's. If you are in the NYC area or near Long Island, there is a Yorkie Rescue closer to you. |
