Hot Coco is available for adoption. He is 1 year old and weighs 5 lbs. His adoption fee is $650.00. Hot Coco is a loyal and sweet companion. He's attached to his foster family, and often falls asleep next to or on top of them! He gets very excited when he sees his leash and, for such a little guy, is happy to go on long walks. He has adjusted very well to his foster home and routine. He waits to go outside for potty breaks and it's been awhile since he had an accident inside. We are working on commands and have mastered "sit" so far. He is eager to please so we are certain he will learn more over time. Coco has become much more playful as he's gotten to know and trust his foster family, though he is not overly energetic. When he's not walking with his foster parents or playing with his foster brother, he's content to lounge on the couch, gaze out the window, and watch the world go by. He follows his foster brother everywhere and relies on him for social cues and playtime, so we are looking for a home where he will have a canine companion. He also needs someone who has the energy to take him on multiple walks a day and the patience to socialize him. He is shy upon meeting new people and dogs and will bark at them (but not all). Coco recently had his neuter, dental, and microchip placed and is recovering very well from surgery. He'll be ready to go to his forever home in a couple of weeks!

Young Yorkies will have a higher adoption donation since they are the most highly sought after and they help to cover the costs of the older dogs who have a harder time finding a loving home. It is sad but true that people overwhelming demand very young dogs when they would be infinitely happier with a mellow adult. ADOPTION AREA Save A Yorkie Rescue prefers to adopt only in the PA, NJ, western NY, DE, MD, VA, some CT area's. If you are in the NYC area or near Long Island, there is a Yorkie Rescue closer to you.
