Levi is available for adoption. Levi came into rescue with a liver shunt which is a very common defect in Yorkshire Terriers. We found that the shunt was operable, and Levi has recovered very well from the surgery. His basic bloodwork is in the normal range, while his bile acid levels are still a bit on the high side, which is not unusual since his liver needs some time to heal and to do what it’s supposed to do. He has the best vet care and the results with this type of procedure have been very successful. He’s currently eating prescription dry food (which he loves!) and even enjoys the small kibble as treats. He’s young and loves the freedom of running off leash, so a fenced yard is a MUST for this little free spirit. Levi loves his humans, but if his human is busy elsewhere, he can easily entertain himself, rolling on his back, squeaky toys in the air! This little boy is a delight! Levi is staying with Bonnie, Mark and “Billy” in Northampton, PA.
More about LeviGood with Dogs Save A Yorkie Rescue, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) qualified non-profit organization operating on donations from Yorkie lovers who care. Please help by donating your tax deductible donations. OR mail your check or money order to YOUR generosity is appreciated! Young Yorkies will have a higher adoption donation since they are the most highly sought after and they help to cover the costs of the older dogs who have a harder time finding a loving home. It is sad but true that people overwhelming demand very young dogs when they would be infinitely happier with a mellow adult. ADOPTION AREA Save A Yorkie Rescue prefers to adopt only in the PA, NJ, western NY, DE, MD, VA, some CT area's. If you are in the NYC area or near Long Island, there is a Yorkie Rescue closer to you. |
