Princess Peony is available for adoption.
She is 10 years old and weigs 7 lbs. Her adoption fee is $350.00. There is not a treat out there that Princess Peony likes....but she loves my boiled chicken mixed with her dog food. She wants to keep her little 7lbs I guess.
In my home I have about 20 small dog toys that are favorites of all small dogs..she is not interested in them at all. A friend of mine came to visit and bought Peony a toy that is almost as big as she is. Its a stuffed toy that has a crunch sound to it. I thought "oh my...that toy is too big for her." But I was wrong! She drags this toy around my apartment, bites it, lays on top of it and kisses it. She likes it almost as much as my chicken. She is a joy. She will walk through 3 rooms to get to her pee pad.
She had some hair loss on her back from previous neglect and it is now growing back due to good food and medicated baths. Peony has a little separation anxiously which I am working on. So i brought her Christmas shopping with me to the mall in her stroller. She has been to many stores but seems to like TJ max the best. Standing on line with everyone saying hello to her I think was her favorite..she was not in a carriage then ...she was in the TJ max shopping basket.
If I could stick a piece of Velcro on my side....and one on her side....she would be in heaven. She always wants to lean on you and will follow you everywhere.
She has sight issues but it is amazing how you would not know it by the way she walks around.
December 26 Peony had a spay and dental work. It's only been 3 days ago and she is her bubbly self. She is such a brave little girl...The vet gave me the little blow up collar for her to make sure she did not try to open her stitches....I never used it because she did not bother with the stitches at all.
The next day she ate all her food and was a happy little elf.
She will be going back to the vet in about 10 days for a check-up and will be available for adoption.
Starting the new year with this precious little girl will be a blessing to her and her new family.
Princess Peony is staying with Lynda in Fort Lee, NJ. Save A Yorkie Rescue, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) qualified non-profit organization operating on donations from Yorkie lovers who care. Please help by donating your tax deductible donations. OR mail your check or money order to YOUR generosity is appreciated! Young Yorkies will have a higher adoption donation since they are the most highly sought after and they help to cover the costs of the older dogs who have a harder time finding a loving home. It is sad but true that people overwhelming demand very young dogs when they would be infinitely happier with a mellow adult. ADOPTION AREA Save A Yorkie Rescue prefers to adopt only in the PA, NJ, western NY, DE, MD, VA, some CT area's. If you are in the NYC area or near Long Island, there is a Yorkie Rescue closer to you.
