Destiny is available for adoption.
Her vet visit for her dental was a big success. Even though she had to lose many teeth due to decay, she got to keep about half for chewing her favorite treats and meals. She also behaved almost perfectly at the groomer, where she had a bath, a haircut, and a pawdicure. While she’s not a huge fan of clothing, she did wear her new sweatshirt on the below zero days that followed her very short haircut. She also cooperates well when a jacket and harness is required for outside activities.
Destiny is not an outside adventure dog. She prefers the couch or her living room dog bed and uses the potty pad with no accidents. She has recently begun acting excited by wiggling and turning in circles when she sees her foster humans.
Destiny continues to work hard on reducing her fear of the outdoors and walking on a leash, as well as getting more comfortable with being petted and other attention. She’s a sweet girl who is slowly becoming an adorable companion.
Destiny is staying with Melody in Shohola, PA More about A DestinyGood with Dogs Save A Yorkie Rescue, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) qualified non-profit organization operating on donations from Yorkie lovers who care. Please help by donating your tax deductible donations. OR mail your check or money order to YOUR generosity is appreciated! Young Yorkies will have a higher adoption donation since they are the most highly sought after and they help to cover the costs of the older dogs who have a harder time finding a loving home. It is sad but true that people overwhelming demand very young dogs when they would be infinitely happier with a mellow adult. ADOPTION AREA Save A Yorkie Rescue prefers to adopt only in the PA, NJ, western NY, DE, MD, VA, some CT area's. If you are in the NYC area or near Long Island, there is a Yorkie Rescue closer to you. |
