Honey Bee is a 7 year old female yorkie who needed our help. She is good with other dogs and is hob nobbing with her foster siblings just fine. She is very sweet to everyone - trusting and wants more than anything, to give you a kiss. The owner moved and left her behind. Who would do that? Move and not take their dog? Honey Bee knows her name and comes when called. She gets on fine with her foster siblings. She wants to be friends. She walks nicely on a leash, rides quietly in the car, and if no-one is available to open the door when she stands in front of it and silently waits, she also uses the pee pad. She wants to live on your lap. She eats well, and has adapted very well as bottom dog in the pack. She is very happy and bouncy. she is the kind of dog you instantly say "AHH!" She will be loved very well wherever she goes. Her new foster mom says Honey Bee is just a wonderful little girl. Couldn't be any better with people and dogs. She has gone outside to potty very nicely. She needs some medical help - of course a spay (doesn't everyone know a dog HAS to be spayed?) a dental cleaning (a Yorkie always needs a dental cleaning). She may need to have one of her knees fixed but that will come later. Right now she is learning all about her new home and enjoying the freedom of being away from a cage. Looking for a little girl? WE have a REAL Honey! Honey is vacationing in Reading, PA with Jo. Young Yorkies will have a higher adoption donation since they are the most highly sought after and they help to cover the costs of the older dogs who have a harder time finding a loving home. It is sad but true that people overwhelming demand very young dogs when they would be infinitely happier with a mellow adult. ADOPTION AREA Save A Yorkie Rescue prefers to adopt only in the PA, NJ, western NY, DE, MD, VA, some CT area's. If you are in the NYC area or near Long Island, there is a Yorkie Rescue closer to you. |
