Nori lloves being photographed and he wants YOU to check out all of his new photos here!
Nori is a sweetheart. Just as sweet as he can be. He was a surprise present to a child. The child grew and left for the big city. Nori was left - alone and wondering... what happened?
He is good with people, dogs, cats, and anything else. He is just so easy-going and calm. He's a sweety pie that'll follow you around the house and just watch what you're doing. He loves to observe everything you're doing.
He loves to snuggle! If you put him on your lap (you have to pick him up, he won't jump on the furniture), he'd lay there forever if you let him. He'll let you know he loves you by curling up and snoring quietly. He loves to lay on his back for belly rubs.
And boy does he have a lot of belly to rub! But he's working on that. He walks twice a day for exercise and has lost almost a pound in a month and a half. He's a slow walker and he doesn't like to be rushed. He'll sit down if you pull on the leash too much. He'd rather move slow, enjoy the sights and take everything in. He takes his time because he knows that gets everyone's attention. People always stop what they're doing to say hi to him because he's just so cute! He seems to walk better off of the leash in a safe environment, and he'll just follow a few feet behind you.
He's dieting too. He likes his carrot treats and he'll sit for them. He learns quickly with food :-) You can tell his previous owners really loved him; they just never really got the whole nutrition and exercise right.
Nori occasionally has seizures which are controlled with meds. The meds are cheap and he doesn't mind taking them. His pills make him hungry so his diet needs to be followed strictly or he will gain weight again.
Nori needs a family to love him and help him get back into shape. He promises to repay you with cuddling and kisses.
Nori is fostering in Perryville, MD with David and Carolyn. Check him out and put in your application.

Young Yorkies will have a higher adoption donation since they are the most highly sought after and they help to cover the costs of the older dogs who have a harder time finding a loving home. It is sad but true that people overwhelming demand very young dogs when they would be infinitely happier with a mellow adult.
