Ernie-O is available for adoption. He is 1 year old and weighs 9 lbs. His adoption fee is $400.00. Update 7/12/ 2014 Ernie is a walker ... he adores his long walks on a lead, several times a day. He will let you know when it's time to go for a walk, or to play, by barking at you! He is also an early riser ... usually up between 5 and 6 a.m.; goes out to the yard to do his business, then he is happy to come back to bed and snooze. So far... the latest we've made it in the morning is about 5:45 a.m. Ernie really needs a household who are early risers ... and who are committed to walking him, several times a day. Just going out into the yard isn't sufficient. If they have another playful, active, small dog, that would be great, as he loves playing with other dogs. Update 6/15/2014 Energizer Ernie-O is an adorable, affectionate, loving little boy who is looking for his forever home. Ernie-O is very, very active -- he loves to go for long walks, play with his toys, and run around the yard. He adores playing with other dogs and has not yet met a dog he didn't like. He loves getting belly rubs and giving kisses! Ernie-O needs an active home who will take him on walks several times a day, and play with him regularly. He can enterain himself when necessary ... playing with toys or chewing on his nylabone ... but his preference is playing with you! Ernie is housebroken and will let you know when he needs to go out. He is crate trained, but he would prefer to sleep in bed with you. He is an early riser - but once he goes outside and does his business, he is happy to get back into bed with you and go back to sleep. He is great with other dogs, does well with older children and teenagers ... He's not so sure about cats ... he doesn't understand why they don't want to play! He rides well in the car. It is sad but true that people overwhelming demand very young dogs when they would be infinitely happier with a mellow adult.
