Aww Whitnee! is available for adoption.

She is 9 years old and weighs 5 lbs.

Her adoption fee is $350.00.

Romeo, Mr. Romeo, where the heck are you anyway?  Aww Whitnee has been waiting for someone just like you - for someone who wants a little Yorkie girl.

Whitnee
is a gorgeous little Yorkie girl and she is so ready to go go go!

She is such a busy little thing -
running to get from one point to another because she doesn’t want to miss a thing.

A securely fenced in yard is a must for her since she does not like walking on a leash.

She enjoys exploring her yard and loves sniffing out all the furry beasts - hunting, chasing, doing what Yorkies were bred to do...

She LOVES to eat and if she has the chance she will eat her foster brothers food too!  She has not learned to share yet and will guard her food and bully stick from other dogs.  She warns her foster brother that she owns all of her things.

She would do best as the only dog or live with an easygoing submissive brother or sister.

She is a very smart girl.  Her ears perk up when we say: 'are you hungry', 'treat', 'who’s here?' and 'bye-bye'.

S
he’s not very fond of a car ride - so we usually wrap her in a blanket and that helps her settle.

Whitnee is a great watchdog!  She will alert you when the doorbell rings, when someone pulls into the driveway, or even when we walk back into the room.  She doesn’t miss a thing!!!  That's why people have dogs - who needs a security alarm with Aww Whitnee in the house?

She likes to stay close by, observing your every move…. just in case you drop a crumb or two!

Whitnee came to us with IBD, which requires a pill several times a day, and a strict healthy diet,  this keeps her happy and healthy.  Who of us doesn't take something - vitamins, fish oil, etc. It keeps us healthy.

Whitnee is a very smart girl.  She potties outside and when she does she gets a small piece of a plain rice cake.  She can sit, stay, sit up and even shake her foster daddy’s hand.

Whitnee deserves only the best forever family. She should visit the vet if she has diarrhea or vomitting. Only the best for Whitnee!!

Whitnee is vacationing in Nazareth, PA, with Maryann.

KEEP THESE FACTS IN MIND:
1. Yorkies do not usually get along well with small children and can be injured by small children, even ones who love them. Be aware of this and keep them apart. 2. Yorkies can be very difficult (nearly impossible) to housebreak. If you are gone for more than 3 hours at a time, the dog will have to have access to wee wee pads, or need someone to stop in to let him out to potty.
3. We almost NEVER get a puppy (less than one year old) in Yorkie Rescue. If only a puppy will do, check the Yorkshire Terrier Club of America website for a recommended breeder - never buy over the Internet, or from a newspaper ad or a petstore. The heartache you save will be immeasureable.
4. There is no such thing as a "teacup" Yorkie, so don't be misled by such a description. LEARN about the breed BEFORE you decide to adopt.
5. You will need to make arrangements to drive and meet the dog at the foster home which can be in New Jersey, western PA, Maryland,  etc. The dog's biography lists where the dog is fostering. We want you to meet the dog with your family and your dog, if you have one. This is a requirement for adoption.

WHAT IS THE ADOPTION FEE?
Adoption donations generally vary from dog to dog, it depends on the health, the age and the size of the dog.

Young Yorkies will have a higher adoption donation since they are the most highly sought after and they help to cover the costs of the older dogs who have a harder time finding a loving home. It is sad but true that people overwhelming demand very young dogs when they would be infinitely happier with a mellow adult.

 ADOPTION AREA

Save A Yorkie Rescue prefers to adopt only in the PA, NJ, western NY, DE, MD, VA, some CT area's. If you are in the NYC area or near Long Island, there is a Yorkie Rescue closer to you.

Be aware that you will be asked to drive to meet and pick up your dog.
