Treet is available for adoption.
He is 8 years old and weighs 6 lbs. His adoption fee is $350.00. Treet had his neuter and dental on Wed., 11/1 and he's doing great! It certainly didn't effect his appetite, as he was ready for dinner as soon as we got back from the vet! He loves to eat!
As we have gotten to know him a little more, he will definitely need someone who is home most of the time. Another little dog would be a plus, but not a pre-requisite. He really does like other dogs, no matter the size. He has already made friends with the sweet Black Lab up the street. And I don't think he was probably walked much. He walks well on a leash, but still gives the impression that this is a new experience for him. I think he was crated a lot too, as that is where he goes to sometimes, but he basically will be your little shadow, because he is wherever I am. He has claimed some space on the couch, too, much to my Toby's chagrin! Treet has his follow-up appt. on Wed., 11/15 and should be available for adoption then.
Treet is a real sweetheart! He greets everyone he meets - human and canine - with love and kisses! He was found as a stray, and is a little thin at the moment, but he is getting good nutrition now and gobbling up every bite. He walks well on a leash and has been happily running around in my fenced in yard. He seems pretty well-housetrained and so far, has kind of been letting us know when he wants to go out. He has been sleeping soundly in his bed with his new blanket and waits quietly for you to get up in the morning. He just loves everyone - even the vet!
Save A Yorkie Rescue, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) qualified non-profit organization operating on donations from Yorkie lovers who care. Please help by donating your tax deductible donations. OR mail your check or money order to YOUR generosity is appreciated! Young Yorkies will have a higher adoption donation since they are the most highly sought after and they help to cover the costs of the older dogs who have a harder time finding a loving home. It is sad but true that people overwhelming demand very young dogs when they would be infinitely happier with a mellow adult. ADOPTION AREA Save A Yorkie Rescue prefers to adopt only in the PA, NJ, western NY, DE, MD, VA, some CT area's. If you are in the NYC area or near Long Island, there is a Yorkie Rescue closer to you. |
