Oriental is available for adoption. She is14 weeks old and weighs 4.8 lbs. Her adoption fee is $750.00. Oriental is almost 14 weeks and weighs 4.8 pounds. She had her check up, shots and blood work done for her Hernia and Spay surgery on 1/30. She loves people and dogs but has never been around a cat. Oriental knows her sit command, loves to play fetch and play with toys. She is wee wee pad trained but I am sure would prefer to go potty outside like a big dog when the snow thaws. She loves to wear her sweater and take naps in the warmest spot she can find. She rides well in the car and loves meeting new people.
A breeder contacted SAY on Monday night, her Yorkie had five 7 week old puppies that hadn’t gotten any Veterinary care. They brought a two month old Chihuahua into their home who developed Parvo. Without the money to vaccinate all five puppies and their mother they were worried all the puppies would contract Parvo. Tuesday morning I drove two hours to NJ and picked up the 5 puppies who were never weaned from their mother. Two hours later they were at the Vet for their first check up and shots. They were also treated for fleas. After a long journey the puppies had no problems eating their first real meal. Meet Marvin Gardens, the typical big brother, he’s rough and tumble but also likes to cuddle with his humans. Victoria Avenue, she’s a real fun gal and loves rough housing with her brothers. St. Charles Place is a gentle giant. He’s the biggest of them all but he doesn’t show it off, he’s a good boy and paper trained already! Oriental Place is smaller than her sister but lots of fun, she likes to jump in on the action and holds her own. Tennessee Avenue is the baby brother, he never starts in but he can definitely play with the big boys (or girl). They all still need more shots before being adopted and will need spaying and neutering by adopter. Oriental is staying with Robyn and her family in South Salem, NY. Young Yorkies will have a higher adoption donation since they are the most highly sought after and they help to cover the costs of the older dogs who have a harder time finding a loving home. It is sad but true that people overwhelming demand very young dogs when they would be infinitely happier with a mellow adult.
