Gizzmo is available for adoption.
He is 8 years old and weighs 10 lbs. His adoption fee is $350.00. Gizzmo has settled in nicely. He has had his dental and neuter. Gizzmo still loves everyone he comes in contact with and lets you know not by backing but by wiggling his entire body in excitement.. Unlike my boys, he doesn’t bark at the neighbors as they walk by or chase squirrels. In fact I don’ think he likes hanging outside all that much. Gizzmo is happiest with his person. He will go up to other dogs and do the standard sniff test but so far hasn’t shown much interest in playing. He does well on a leash and loves riding in a car. When I let them all out to do their business Gizzmo trots over to the grass, does his thing, and immediately comes back to be near me. When I am in the house Gizzmo wants to be in the room with me. If I am on the sofa he will lay down next to me. When I sleep, he wants to be close enough to touch. In fact right now, while I am typing this note Gizzmo is quietly laying down on the floor next to my feet. The only time he barks is when he wants something to eat or to get his belly rubbed. You can tell Gizzmo was well loved (and spoiled) by his person. Gizzmo would be perfect for someone who is retired or works from home. Someone who would like to take walks and go for a ride. He doesn’t require a large yard or other dogs to occupy his time, just you. Gizzmo is staying with Sandy, Eli, and Dunkin in Richmond, VA. Save A Yorkie Rescue, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) qualified non-profit organization operating on donations from Yorkie lovers who care. Please help by donating your tax deductible donations. OR mail your check or money order to YOUR generosity is appreciated! Young Yorkies will have a higher adoption donation since they are the most highly sought after and they help to cover the costs of the older dogs who have a harder time finding a loving home. It is sad but true that people overwhelming demand very young dogs when they would be infinitely happier with a mellow adult. ADOPTION AREA Save A Yorkie Rescue prefers to adopt only in the PA, NJ, western NY, DE, MD, VA, some CT area's. If you are in the NYC area or near Long Island, there is a Yorkie Rescue closer to you. |
