Learn more about the Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie.
Oscar and Felix were adopted today, May 8, 2005 by Susan and Gary Hackett. Aren't they a pair?! You bet these two go together like peanut butter and jelly! They love each other dearly! They are already housebroken. Playful, alert, outgoing, full of the devil. Oscar, the Maltese, is very outgoing and just loves to frolic in the yard. Felix follows Oscar everywhere. Like a shadow, Felix tails Oscar as the two investigate every noise and every smell. They chased their foster mom around like puppies. Both of these boys get along great with other dogs. Felix loves to chase balls and brings them right back. They do not act like older dogs. They are young at heart. They also love to be lap dogs. If you are sitting on the sofa watching TV, they jump up and sit on your lap. THESE are two sweeties who would make wonderful companions for any family. Call Cathy - that's her number under their picture. Summer is coming and these two will show you how to enjoy life again.KEEP THESE FACTS IN MIND: 1. Yorkies do not get along well with small children. 2. Yorkies are nearly impossible to housebreak. 3. You will NOT find a puppy in Yorkie Rescue and we consider a dog up to 3 years old to be a puppy. 4. It is rare for us to get a FEMALE into rescue. 5. There is no such thing as a tea cup Yorkie so don't be misled by such a description. 6. Senior Citizens get preferred treatment. LEARN about the breed BEFORE you adopt. Please help by donating your tax deductible donations. OR mail your check or money order to YOUR generosity is appreciated! Young Yorkies will have a higher adoption donation since they are the most highly sought after and they help to cover the costs of the older dogs who have a harder time finding a loving home. It is sad but true that people overwhelming demand very young dogs when they would be infinitely happier with a mellow adult.
