Lileyonna is a Parti Yorkie and is available for adoption.

She is 1 year old and weighs 12 lbs.

Her adoption fee is $950.00.

Lileyonna came into SAY Rescue on Sunday, Sept. 5th when her owner called asking if we would take her.  Her owner’s health made it impossible to care for a one year old and she knew Lily deserved a much better life.
Kathy Moore reached out to Mark Hensel who agreed to pick her up in the Lancaster, PA area. Lily seemed like your normal 1 year old yorkie filled with kisses, playfulness and curiosity and tried her best to play with Quinn and Levi who would accompany her on the 90-minute drive to Allentown. Thinking she may need a break on the way home, a stop was made at a park with open fields and a dog park. Lily loved being able to run in the grass, but was extremely submissive with the other dogs. She wasn’t afraid, just timid and shy. She had never experienced this much grass or dogs  and this was a whole new experience for her. A 2 mile walk was next around the park with just Quinn and Levi to help wear off the stress from leaving the house that she never left and experiencing a place where she could run, sniff and play.
Fast forward a few days and a new dog has come out of her 12 pound body. Lily is the sweetest lovable little girl. Not a cuddler, but an active, loving puppy constantly looking for affection and attention. She loves playing with you or other dogs of all sizes and breeds. She is smart, listens well and has learned to do her business outside. She is eating well and will sit down and relax when everyone else is relaxed. She has adapted well and is finally starting to learn how much fun a puppy can have.
Lily will be heading back to the Lancaster area with SAY Rescue foster, Nicole Seroky since Mark is heading out on vacation on Friday 9/19/25. Levi will be happy about this since he doesn’t appreciate her playful aggression. Lily is looking forward to this since Nicole has more dogs that love to play, and Quinn and Mark will be a bit sad as a cute, playful puppy with unlimited energy will take the next step to her forever loving home.  Best of luck Lily.

Lileyonna is staying with Nicole in Lititz, PA.

KEEP THESE FACTS IN MIND:
1. Yorkies do not usually get along well with small children and can be injured by small children, even ones who love them. Be aware of this and keep them apart. 2. Yorkies can be very difficult (nearly impossible) to housebreak. If you are gone for more than 3 hours at a time, the dog will have to have access to wee wee pads, or need someone to stop in to let him out to potty.
3. We almost NEVER get a puppy (less than one year old) in Yorkie Rescue. If only a puppy will do, check the Yorkshire Terrier Club of America website for a recommended breeder - never buy over the Internet, or from a newspaper ad or a petstore. The heartache you save will be immeasureable.
4. There is no such thing as a "teacup" Yorkie, so don't be misled by such a description. LEARN about the breed BEFORE you decide to adopt.
5. You will need to make arrangements to drive and meet the dog at the foster home which can be in New Jersey, western PA, Maryland,  etc. The dog's biography lists where the dog is fostering. We want you to meet the dog with your family and your dog, if you have one. This is a requirement for adoption.

WHAT IS THE ADOPTION FEE?
Adoption donations generally vary from dog to dog, it depends on the health, the age and the size of the dog.

Young Yorkies will have a higher adoption donation since they are the most highly sought after and they help to cover the costs of the older dogs who have a harder time finding a loving home. It is sad but true that people overwhelming demand very young dogs when they would be infinitely happier with a mellow adult.

 ADOPTION AREA

Save A Yorkie Rescue prefers to adopt only in the PA, NJ, western NY, DE, MD, VA, some CT area's. If you are in the NYC area or near Long Island, there is a Yorkie Rescue closer to you.
