Mr. Bailey made a long journey to north central PA arriving late Sunday, November 18. Bailey is shy and unsure of his new surroundings, but he is sociable with people and other dogs. He is working on learning where the door is to go out in this new and scary world. He is so smart he waits for his foster mom to stop by the treat jar on the way outside because he easily learned that when he potties outside he gets a reward. He has a seizure disorder which he easily shakes off. Inexpensive medication we hope will end them all together. He is very wary of men and will not approach them. He is comfortable sitting on a lap and sleeps near his foster mom on the outside of the bed. At night, lets his mom know he has to go out. He doesn't like crates but loves to ride in the car. He absolutely is joyful in going for walks. He loves being out on the sidewalk, in the park...! He is a very athletic guy and will go, go, go on a lead. No couch potatoes, please. He is very agreeable around other dogs but prefers not to play actively with them. He is alarmingly thin and needs to start eating some really good food. He is just a happy boy who needs someone looking to save a Yorkie. He will go for walks, rides in the car and come to sit on your lap. With patience and love, he will blossom into YOUR dog. Give Bailey a chance. He is a great little dog. Young Yorkies will have a higher adoption donation since they are the most highly sought after and they help to cover the costs of the older dogs who have a harder time finding a loving home. It is sad but true that people overwhelming demand very young dogs when they would be infinitely happier with a mellow adult.
