Bella Bella beautiful young, long legged, girl - has those wide brown eyes that speak to your heart. she reminds us of a darling baby fawn  - stepping high and leaping easily into your lap.

You are looking for a healthy, active, sweet little girl, right? An easy, pretty little one who will look to you, pay attention to your voice, wait for you at the window watching for you to come home - and adore you in every way.

She has been groomed elegantly and looks just breathtaking, don't you agree? Her eyes have the dark lovely outline, characteristic of Yorkshire Terriers. She must have had a Yorkie somewhere in her pedigree, her coloring tells the story. Her parents may have had some Jack Russell Terrier in their background.

Bella is young but hasn't had an easy life. She was just left alone in a tiny little cage all day & at night. Such a lonely life. She dreamed of you... playing ball    oh how she loves to play ball!...

riding on your lap on the way to Petco for more toys, they were only dreams.. until now.

Bella Bella has her freedom -  Run! play! get that squirrel! See the mailman? Hear the dog next door? let's check it out together! Are you ready to hear her bark in delight as you squeak her toys! She's wiggling in glee at the thought...

Our Bella isn't picky - she eats well and gets along with her brother foster dogs . She follows her foster mom all over the house, making sure she doesn't need a good dog nose to find lost toys.

Bella wants to be WITH you, she does not like being separated from her people so consider her and apply only if you have lots of time for her. She responds well to praise which is also new to her. So much to learn, so many new things, new people... oh the world is so big and Bella is beginning to see glimpses of it. Take her with you, show her off to your friends.

Bella Bella is vacationing with Deborah Caulkins in Williamsport, PA - north central PA. Now is the time to claim your little girl who will be a great dog to help you with leaves or snow. Hurry - she's waiting, she's poised on top of the couch, looking out with eager eyes and a laughing pink tongue.  I hear her whimpering... don't make her wait any longer to share this glorious fall with you.

KEEP THESE FACTS IN MIND:
1. Yorkies do not usually get along well with small children and can be injured by small children, even ones who love them. Be aware of this and keep them apart. 2. Yorkies can be very difficult (nearly impossible) to housebreak. If you are gone for more than 3 hours at a time, the dog will have to have access to wee wee pads, or need someone to stop in to let him out to potty.
3. We almost NEVER get a puppy (less than one year old) in Yorkie Rescue. If only a puppy will do, check the Yorkshire Terrier Club of America website for a recommended breeder - never buy over the Internet, or from a newspaper ad or a petstore. The heartache you save will be immeasureable.
4. There is no such thing as a "teacup" Yorkie, so don't be misled by such a description. LEARN about the breed BEFORE you decide to adopt.
5. You will need to make arrangements to drive and meet the dog at the foster home which can be in New Jersey, western PA, Maryland,  etc. The dog's biography lists where the dog is fostering. We want you to meet the dog with your family and your dog, if you have one. This is a requirement for adoption.

WHAT IS THE ADOPTION FEE?
Adoption donations generally vary from dog to dog, it depends on the health, the age and the size of the dog.

Young Yorkies will have a higher adoption donation since they are the most highly sought after and they help to cover the costs of the older dogs who have a harder time finding a loving home. It is sad but true that people overwhelming demand very young dogs when they would be infinitely happier with a mellow adult.

 ADOPTION AREA

Save A Yorkie Rescue prefers to adopt only in the PA, NJ, western NY, DE, MD, VA, some CT area's. If you are in the NYC area or near Long Island, there is a Yorkie Rescue closer to you.

Be aware that you will be asked to drive to meet and pick up your dog.
