Stevie is a sweet affectionate boy - as most male Yorkies are the affectionate sex. He loves to be petted and to be near his people. Stevie is 6 years old. Stevie weights about 12 to 14 pounds. Stevie's adoption donation is $250 Stevie is just 6 years old and such a delight! He rides well in the car and is excited to look out the window the entire time. Stevie walks well on a leash. every dog benefits from obedience classes. It is where the dog learns to bond with you, to pay attention to your voice. An excellent tool for you and the new Yorkie. Stevie would love to have a back yard. He loves to run and explore but a fenced yard is not enough - not by a long shot. He needs an active family who will devote time to walk him around the neighborhood and every park. A fenced yard does not substitute for several walks every day. At his foster home he runs laps around the yard and sniffs everything. He is new and curious about everything. Stevie, like all Yorkies, needs to be taken outside often to potty - they have very small bladders. The first two weeks are House Training Boot Camp. Yorkie owners know that housetraining takes time and someone to be as smart as the dog. We have tools to help - ask! He knows the commands "sit" and "no" and with additional work he could learn more commands. He is a smart little guy that wants nothing more than to make his people happy. He sleeps in the big bed with his foster mom and dad. He gets along with other dogs. He only barks when his foster brothers bark or if he is outside and wants to come back in. Stevie is vacationing in Burlington, NJ with Carol and her crew. It is sad but true that people overwhelming demand very young dogs when they would be infinitely happier with a mellow adult.
