Bud Light is available for adoption.

He is 9 years old and weighs 5 lbs.

His adoption fee is $350.00.

Buddy is an adorable little alpha Yorkie Boy  He is a big dog in a little body (5 lbs). Therefore his forever brother or sister should be little like him and not be bothered that he will be the boss man. He guards his food whenever his foster brother and sister are close by, but will share if he has to.  He loves having his hair brushed, riding in the car, belly rubs and especially his foster daddy. He is very fast and spunky for his age (9 years old).  He has to be the first one out the back door and loves chasing anything that moves in the yard, so a fence is a must. He is our little watchdog. He alerts us when we have visitors or when the smoke detector goes off because daddy burned  supper again and even when the neighbor comes home from work!!  He is doing very well with his potty training but still needs more practice. He wants a forever home where someone will be home with him most of the day, has a fenced in yard and has the patience to play with him and love him and train him to be a good Yorkie boy.

See me sit pretty? Perfection! That's me - Bud Light.  Of course I am little but not TOO little. I have the personality of a preacher - I like everyone. I know how to do it all too - I sit for treats, walk like a charm on a leash and I LOVEEEE the feel of the wind in my hair when we go for car rides. Speaking of hair - yes, I AM a Yorkie and I have lovely long hair that you can brush to a glossy shine - oh I DO love it when you brush my hair.

I am just the right age - young enough to enjoy lots of long walks with you but old enough not to be a pest when you want to nap during Dr. Phil.  If you sit, I'll sit and we'll watch tv together.

The cold Witch of November will be howling soon. Can the snow be far behind?  Don't you need me on your lap, to keep you warm, to cuddle with you, to be your best pal? Of course you do.

If you get a senior discount at local restaurants or are looking at Medicare plans - you are probably just the right age for me. We will be so happy together. I've been waiting for you to notice me here on the list of Yorkies waiting for a home. Yeah - me, Bud Light.  We'll go in the car, go for happy walks and I won't tell a soul that your knees ache or about that bunion you have on your right big toe.  You are beautiful in my eyes. I want to come home.

I hope you have a nice fenced yard so that I can go on patrol and keep out the riff raff - like those squirrels or that pile of leaves that is so suspicious.

It's me, Bud Light - YOUR Bud Light and I am watching out the window for you.

PS. If you pick me, I'll even let you put a bow in my hair (although I don't really like such foo foo stuff.)  I'm just a little guy, just right for your lap. Everyone loves a little Bud Light!

Bud Light is vacationing in Nazareth, PA, with Maryann and her gang.

KEEP THESE FACTS IN MIND:
1. Yorkies do not usually get along well with small children and can be injured by small children, even ones who love them. Be aware of this and keep them apart. 2. Yorkies can be very difficult (nearly impossible) to housebreak. If you are gone for more than 3 hours at a time, the dog will have to have access to wee wee pads, or need someone to stop in to let him out to potty.
3. We almost NEVER get a puppy (less than one year old) in Yorkie Rescue. If only a puppy will do, check the Yorkshire Terrier Club of America website for a recommended breeder - never buy over the Internet, or from a newspaper ad or a petstore. The heartache you save will be immeasureable.
4. There is no such thing as a "teacup" Yorkie, so don't be misled by such a description. LEARN about the breed BEFORE you decide to adopt.
5. You will need to make arrangements to drive and meet the dog at the foster home which can be in New Jersey, western PA, Maryland,  etc. The dog's biography lists where the dog is fostering. We want you to meet the dog with your family and your dog, if you have one. This is a requirement for adoption.

WHAT IS THE ADOPTION FEE?
Adoption donations generally vary from dog to dog, it depends on the health, the age and the size of the dog.

Young Yorkies will have a higher adoption donation since they are the most highly sought after and they help to cover the costs of the older dogs who have a harder time finding a loving home. It is sad but true that people overwhelming demand very young dogs when they would be infinitely happier with a mellow adult.

 ADOPTION AREA

Save A Yorkie Rescue prefers to adopt only in the PA, NJ, western NY, DE, MD, VA, some CT area's. If you are in the NYC area or near Long Island, there is a Yorkie Rescue closer to you.

Be aware that you will be asked to drive to meet and pick up your dog.
