Winney is available for adoption. She had the same family all her life until they moved to a place that did not allow dogs. But we do allow dogs, and now she’s with us. She’s so sweet and all girl – tiny waist, long legs (just like Bambi!). She LOVES to go for rides in the car, leaving her “nose art” on all the windows. She’s not vocal and rarely barks (her foster brother does enough for both of them). She has a good appetite (no food offering is ever turned down) and is at your heels every time you go in the kitchen! She will even whimper when you’re not getting her food ready fast enough! She is housetrained and walks beautifully with a harness and a leash. She prances right alongside of you, ears up and very interested in everything around her. She sleeps well throughout the night, is great with baths and blow drying her hair. She is enjoying the ease of her new “puppy cut” as her beautiful long hair was so filled with matts, it had to be cut off. But hair grows… Winney is quiet and curious with an easy-going personality. She’s not fearful or anxious, and doesn’t mind thunderstorms, fireworks, loud noises or being home alone. She would do well with an calmer brother or sister, and would also do well as the only dog. If you love to take long walks, have time to give lots of belly rubs and can appreciate “nose art”, put in your application for Winney. Winney is vacationing in Northampton, PA with Bonnie and Mark. More about WinneyGood with Dogs Save A Yorkie Rescue, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) qualified non-profit organization operating on donations from Yorkie lovers who care. Please help by donating your tax deductible donations. OR mail your check or money order to YOUR generosity is appreciated! Young Yorkies will have a higher adoption donation since they are the most highly sought after and they help to cover the costs of the older dogs who have a harder time finding a loving home. It is sad but true that people overwhelming demand very young dogs when they would be infinitely happier with a mellow adult. ADOPTION AREA Save A Yorkie Rescue prefers to adopt only in the PA, NJ, western NY, DE, MD, VA, some CT area's. If you are in the NYC area or near Long Island, there is a Yorkie Rescue closer to you. |
