Yogi Berra Ho ho ho Yogi found his forever home you knowÃÂâÃÂÃÂÃÂæwith Jill. Jill never hesitated in her interest in adopting Yogi. She had experience with special needs dogs as her last two Yorkies developed blindness so his sight issues didnÃÂâÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂt scare her at all. I always look for ÃÂâÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂsignsÃÂâÃÂÃÂÃÂàthat I have chosen the right forever person for our foster pups. Yogi gave me one when Jill scooped him up for the first time and started petting and rubbing the back of his head. He rested his little head on her chest as she petted him and I knew that was my sign. He will continue to know nothing but love and happiness. Yogi has been in his forever home for a week now. Jill sent me this email to let me know how heÃÂâÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂs doing: Hi Allyson, I wanted to Thank you & SAY rescue for this wonderful gift you have allowed me to adopt. I was devastated when I lost my Yorkie 5 months ago. He was with me for 20 years. I never thought I would find a little guy that would be perfect for me. I was wrong! Yogi had my heart the 1st time I picked him up. He is a sweetie. HeÃÂâÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂs adjusting well, follows me around the kitchen & heÃÂâÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂs already sleeping with me in my bed! I feel like a little kid who just got the perfect Christmas gift. Thank You Again! Jill & Yogi Congratulations Yogi Berra!!!
Madee One day I get a call from Sharon our Foster Coordinator "we have a female foster, are you able to foster?" Yes I replied! And into my life and heart came Madee. I also have a yorkie named Mia who I recently adopted. Mia has socialization issues. She is afraid of people and dogs. Madee came into my home tail wagging, sniffing from room to room as Mia watched in horror and jealousy. Every day they grew closer. Madee won her over by leaving a morsel of food always in her dish and stepped back to watch foodie Mia eat it. She made a buddy! Every day she pulled on my heartstrings more and more. I took a trip to Long Island to a friends home. Madee in the back car seat and Mia in the front. Over 3 hours. I would look in my rearview mirror and see her little tiny head looking out the window and at each light her tail would start to wag in anticipation of where we were going. After a week it was time to go home. Again with Madee in the back seat. Only now it was nighttime and I could see that tiny little face asleep in the back seat....not a sound out of her. All the way back my heart said "I can't let her go.....oh no...what to do?" Arriving home I picked up Mia who was also sleeping and picked up Madee to bring them into my apartment. Madee put her head on my shoulder and put her little paws around my neck and that was it!" I crushed! When morning came I called Kathy M. ( our Rescue Coordinator) "I'm in love with her Kathy! I can't let her go!! To which she replied..."I understand, yes, you can adopt her. So now I have another little heartbeat at my feet. We are a family. Thank you SAY for finding the missing puzzle piece to my life! Congratulations Madee!!!
Roxi December 1st was adoption day. Meet her new parents, Ashley and her fiancé Marc. I could tell (even through the masks) they fell in love with Roxi the moment they finally met. We went into the den where they could spend time with Roxi and of course go over all the paperwork. Well Roxi took to them right away. She gave each of them kisses when they picked her up and of course had a blast playing fetch. Roxi tried to bring it back to me once but I think that was out of habit. Otherwise she brought that toy back to Ashley and Marc every time. They spent over 30 minutes playing and were super patient when Roxi wanted to play tug of war rather than letting them have the ball. After we went over the paperwork, and I tried to tell them all that Roxi still needed to learn that they hadnât already witnessed, they handed over the check and were ready to go. Roxi trotted right out the door, happy as can be. As you can see from the picture all 3 are super happy. Roxi is one lucky girl to have found this great family. Congratulations Roxi!!!
Mist Hello there, I am coming to you from Philadelphia, PA with good news...My foster mommy decided she needed to keep me as I tugged at her heart strings within days of landing at her door. She was skeptical at first, not knowing how I would react to Indy, but as days went by it was apparent that Indy had accepted me into the fold and the rest is truly history. Indy and I run and play throughout the house as if we had known each other forever. I must admit that there have been a few "close calls" when Indy decided to take me on, and I had to remind her that I was her elder and that this was not going to be acceptable behavior. Could not let her give "mommy" thoughts that this would not work out, you see, I love being with my mommy and grandma and of course Indy and nothing could take me away from my forever home. I have now become a true "FOSTER FAILURE" and will live my life making my mommy smile. Congratulations Mist!!!
