Finneas Finneas came into Foster care as an 18 month old puppy from a Manhattan household that could no longer keep him. He had never been to a vet, so Save A Yorkie Rescue provided for all his vaccinations and his neutering. Then, after only three months in foster care and a clean bill of health, Finneas was adopted by the perfect loving family. Finneas will be living the good life right here in Connecticut with Bella, also a SAY Rescue. On his first day in his new home, a video shows him running around the house with Bella while carrying one of his favorite toys, a giant Lamb Chop (the Shari Lewis kind, not the eating kind!) Before he left his foster parents, he had conquered his separation anxiety and his poor potty habits. He'll need all the attention and exercise his new parents can give him and we're quite sure they will. (Hopefully, he'll sleep past 5am from now on!) While he will be terribly missed by his Foster Parents, we are sure that he will live a long and happy life in his forever home. Congratulations Finneas!!!
Fluffie We knew that we would immediately bond with Fluffie the moment we laid eyes on her, and we instantly fell in love with her. Fluffie is equally endearing to our other two canine residents, SAY rescues Gracie (aka Prissie) and Gustav (aka Frisbee). In fact, they enthusiastically have accepted Fluffie within their little pack. She has made the adjustment to her new home and surroundings seemingly effortlessly. We are so happy and thankful that Save a Yorkie Rescue gave us the opportunity to foster and then adopt this sweet little girl. We feel she is just perfect for us, and cannot imagine our lives without her. Congratulations to our newest SAY Rescue family member Fluffie! Congratulations Fluffie!!!
Frisbee After having lost our beloved SAY Rescue Yorkie Brutus, who died suddenly in his sleep at the premature age of 11 -- thus depriving his bonded 8-year old SAYR "sister" Gracie aka Prissie of her life-long partner -- we have adopted little Frisbee, now known as Gustav. He gets along with his new sister perfectly well, and is a natural fill-in for her late brother, happily joining in whenever his new sister greets the wildlife in the window. We are so happy and thankful that SAYR gave us the opportunity to foster and then adopt the little guy, both for our sake and for that of our surviving adoptee. From stray to beloved new family member. Congratulations Frisbee!!!
Firestar I am so thankful for Save a Yorkie Rescue! I was blessed to be able to foster Firestar! She is truly a Star! There is no denying, the moment my husband and I made the journey home to foster Firestar; we knew that she was special. Her true personality of being such a happy and bouncy little girl shines bright. She has captured our hearts and every day we continue to bond with love. We are so very happy to have Firestar as part of our family! Congratulations to Firestar and us!!!
Finnie Finnie was adopted this morning. Nadine and Gregg drove 9 hours yesterday through torrential downpours and an accident that had them stuck on I-80 for an extra 2 hours. But nothing was going to stop them from getting their precious Finnie Boy! They stayed overnight at a local hotel last night and came for the meet and greet this morning. It was love at first sight for the three of them. Finnie immediately flipped onto his back for belly rubs and was so excited to meet them. He hopped right up onto the couch with Gregg for lots of cuddles and love. When it was time to say goodbye he jumped right in the car. Hopefully, the drive home is much smoother. Congratulations Finnie!!! Click a letter to find an animal or view all.
