Sheldon Sheldon has his forever family, Ruth Gaw came on Saturday October 24th to see Sheldon. Sheldon greeted her and her son Bryan at the door with his tail wagging like a propeller! I think he heard me on the phone telling a friend he was going to be adopted today...and was so happy to meet Ruth! As we filled out our paperwork Sheldon jumped on the couch next to Ruth and Bryan...and stayed with them most of our visit. So it was love at first sight. Ruth is a retired RN...she cooks her own dog food and bakes her own treats for the dog. One bite of Ruth's home-made liver treats and Sheldon was ready to sign the adoption papers himself! He will be living in Delaware with a beautiful porch and fenced in backyard (he loves to run) but most of all, having a forever mom who will love and pamper him. Much love to the both of you!!! Lynda Claridy xxxxxxxx Congratulations Sheldon!!!
Silver Bella Although it broke my heart to see her go as we have had her since November, our "Bella Cinderella" (as we called her) was adopted today by David and Joan. From the moment they walked through our door, we knew they were the right ones for this special needs little girl. All four babies greeted them as the stepped in and surrounded them and begged to be first for attention. "Bella" was right up there in line and got to give kisses first. They fell in love with her immediately. David and Joan had adopted Penny from SAY previously and just lost her in February 2020. Penny was also a special needs dog with many medical issues including diabetes and eventually going blind among other things. They are well equipped to handle Bella's needs and I have no doubt they will spoil her and love her. They came totally prepared with a new dog safety seat and blanket. We spent 4 hours for this meet and greet as I wanted them to see Bella and know how she reacts and talks to you when she wants something, especially food, which she is ALWAYS hungry for (the meds do that to her). Bella could not give enough kisses, she was all over them going from one to the other which was a really good sign to us. I am so happy for her, but I will be stopping in for visits when I am in PA. Did I say I wouldn't cry???.....well, I did, but really I was thrilled to find her such a great forever home. There were so many calls and emails and I answered each and every one and returned all calls. Her new family had to be perfect and we hit the jackpot with David and Joan. I've already heard back from David that Bella was a trooper on the ride back to PA and slept most of the way, and they sent me a picture of Bella giving Joan lots of kisses. This is truly a happy ending. Congratulations Silver Bella!!!
Smith Smitty was adopted Saturday, June 27 by Eileen. We made the decision the split Smitty and Wes because their behavior together was not good. They seemed like they werenât so much bonded as they were co-depend and jealous of each other. We had the dogâs completely separated for the last 10 days Smitty was with us, as he was recovering from a spleen removal. Luckily, the biopsy results were fine and both boys were doing much better without the other. Eileen drove down from Central Pennsylvania on Friday night and met Smitty; it was love at first sight! She stayed and revisted and they got to know each other, she returned early Saturday morning to take her boy home! I walked Smitty over to the kitchen to see Wes one last time, they both started growling and snarling, LOL. She said Smitty was an angel for the car ride home and they even stopped to see her son halfway and Smitty was excellent with their dog. He had his stitches removed Tuesday and the vet said he was in excellent health. He still needs some basic socialization training but Eileen says heâs a quick learner & a good listener. He has already become her shadow, sleeping in the bed with her and napping next to her on the couch after walks. Smitty is so happy and he finally has the life he deserves ð Congratulations Smith!!!
Sweetpea Sweetpea came to us after a plea to foster a new rescue from Virginia. At first she was timid and shy but bonded quickly with her foster mom and âbrotherâ Georgie. As the days went by she became very comfortable with her new environment and the people in her life. We all knew this would be her forever home. Sweetpea loves to walk with Georgie and now they follow each otherâs lead. She has become more playful, loves to eat and of course loves her walks. Sweetpea is a wonderful addition to our family. Congratulations Sweetpea!!!
Suki Suki's (now named Frankie, short for Francesca) meet and greet went very well. She's going to a great home and Suki took well to all of them especially the youngest girl, Ava. While I went through the paperwork with the parents, Jason took all 3 kids out for a nice long walk around the neighborhood with Suki/Frankie and our dogs, Jaxon and Maisey. We wanted to see how the kids would be with Suki/Frankie during the walk and just to get to know them a bit. Jason said they were all very responsible and attentive and seemed pretty knowledgeable on how to care for a puppy. Suki/Frankie did great during the ride home with Troy, Dana and the kids. Congratulations Suki!!! Click a letter to find an animal or view all.
