Brutus We knew that we would immediately bond with Brutus and Prissie the moment we received them from the volunteer pilot flying for Pilots for Paws. After having lost our beloved long-time bonded threesome Heidi, Hugo, and Sabrina, all within the past 7 months, adopting Brutus and Prissie is already helping us heal. Lucky for us, the pair made the adjustment to their new home and surroundings seemingly effortlessly. We are so happy and thankful that Save a Yorkie Rescue gave us the opportunity to foster and then adopt this sweet little pair. We feel they are just perfect for us, and cannot imagine our lives without them. Love, Gigi, Ivar, Brutus, and Prissie. Congratulations Brutus!!!
Koko Koko was adopted by her foster family. They just couldn’t imaging life without her in the pack! She now has 3 siblings and continues to wear her crown to remind everyone she is the queen! Congratulations to all!
Brandon Brandon was adopted on 8/20/21 to a wonderful adopter named Debbi. As I prepared for Brandon's adoption, I felt that familiar sense of loss. I didn't realize I would miss him quite as much as I do! But, Debbie is a wonderful match for Brandon. She did not shy away from his special needs and showers him with many wonderful toys and treats. She even bought a puppy sling like foster mom used!! When she came for her meet and greet, she brought some lovely dog boutique bakery treats for him that looked good enough for foster mom to eat. But, no such luck. They were all for Brandon!! Brandon is a tiny dog who was abandoned at the local animal shelter in a box after hours. Save A Yorkie Rescue offered to foster him and look for a great home. After several phone calls and emails, a perfect match was found. Brandon couldnâÂÂt have asked for a better home. Brandon is mostly blind, he loves to be held and just wants to spend time with his person. Enter Debbi, the perfect match! She works from home and will be there to take care of his every need. She was already in love before she even met him and when she came to foster moms home it was confirmed. He was going home with her! Brandon is now the king of his castle with treats and squeaky toys. Foster mom has even sent a video of him playing! What a joy to see! Good Luck Brandon! You are a lucky pup! Congratulations Brandon!!!
Diamond in the Ruff Diamond is feeling well and loved. She is so happy and playful. Squeaky toys are the very best. She loves to have the human hide the squeaky toy under her blanket and she pounces on it. Diamond sleeps all night and has potty training down pat. All the problems with the bladder stones and having to pee frequently are resolved. It did take a few weeks to retrain her bladder to hold enough to make it to the yard to relieve herself. Diamond has become very protective of her property. There are several families of Canadian Geese that visit several times a day to eat grass and nap in the shade. Diamond has taken over the job of making sure the geese move on and donât leave those messy deposits on the front lawn and sidewalk. She will get to work as soon as I tell her âThe birds are here!!â Today Diamond decided the robins werenât allowed to land on the roof. Sheldon hasnât figured out what all the fuss is about. This little girl is so loving and sweet, Sheldon and I have become attached and just love having Diamond as a member of our pack. Congratulations Diamond in the Ruff!!!
Rilee Rilee was adopted and went to his forever home in Connecticut with his new mom Gisele. She made the 8 hour trip to Pennsylvania with her sister and we met at a local park. Rilee liked them immediately as was eager to show them the way as they joined us on our walk. After a good walk we all went to our house where we enjoyed a nice evening getting to know each other and playing with Rilee. Gisele scored big points with Rilee right away as she came in with a new toy and got right down on the floor and started playing with him. As the evening progressed, we heard stories of the previous yorkies she has had and several dogs that family members now have that Rilee will be able to visit and play with. Gisele and her sister spent the night in a local hotel and came back Sunday morning to get Rilee After a few snuggles and a teary goodbye from foster mom and dad, Rilee was off on his new adventure to his forever home where he will be greeted by his new sister, Loki, the cat. Rilee was a pleasure to have and provided lots of fun, love and laughter! We wish him all the best in his forever home with mom Gisele and sister Loki. Congratulations Rilee!!!
