Pennie Lou

Meet the Gresham's. They fell in love with Penny from her picture. I liked their app and knew the moment I met them they were the ones!! They first saw Penny from the glass door and their faces immediately lit up. Penny was dancing before they walked in and once the Gresham's came in the house?? Well...I might as well have not even been there. Penny kept going from Rhonda to Chuck and back again. Rhonda couldn't stop smiling and Chuck was so happy he was practically giggling. On the floor Chuck went to play with Penny. Going through all the paperwork was hard for them because they had to leave Penny alone for a few minutes. However that was good for me. It gave me a few last minutes with that sweet little whirlwind of a girl. We finished the paperwork and went through the goody bag and out the door they went. Chuck took Penny for a quick walk while I helped Rhonda carry everything to the car. Of course we had to wait because Chuck was so excited he and Penny walked off with the car keys and it was still locked! Congratulations Pennie Lou!

Hope

Sondra and Daniel arrived to meet Hope on Friday, February 7 in the early afternoon. I greeted them outside with Hope. They let Hazel out of the car. She greeted Hope and explored the yard. We let them sniff and get to know each other for a few minutes outside. Hope was over the moon with excitement. She had a new pup to play with!! Once we knew they were comfortable with each other we all went inside. Both dogs ran and explored the house and the toys. There isn’t a toy around Hazel doesn’t love and there were lots to love in this house. Hope showed Hazel all the places she isn’t usually allowed to explore by herself. They both were having a grand time. They chased and played with each other and the toys for 20 minutes. Sondra and Daniel were in love and so was Hazel. Hope loves everyone...all the time ... with gusto! When we agreed they liked each other and it was going to be a good fit, I asked if they wanted to get the paperwork done so they could be on their way. They answered yes excitedly. We got down to business quickly while Hope took a short timeout in her ex pen. Hazel hung out with the ‘big kids’ aka mom, dad and foster lady. Once all signatures were obtained and paperwork duplicated, dad took the girls out while mom and I got all the supplies together to make Hope’s transition a smooth one. I couldn’t forget her favorite chew toys and snuggly blanket. After the supplies were gathered we went outside and took a family photo with their newest addition! The first photo says it all. Hazel reached over and kissed her new baby sister!! Everyone was full of love and smiles. I know she is loved by some awesome people and a great dog! Congratulations Hope!!!
