Dixie Lee is available for adoption.
Dixie Lee's adoption fee is $450. Dixie Lee is approximately 2 years old and weighs about 9 pounds. Brand new in rescue! She had a difficult time as a stray found scared and in bad shape. She came into a shelter so matted with feces and filth, she could neither urinate nor defecate! She had to be shaved and that was so traumatic! But the bad times are over for this southern belle. Dixie Lee is neither shy, nervous or scared. Once she meets you, she's your best friend She's all puppy! Full of energy and loves to play. She has been cleaned up, spayed and is feeling great. She has beautiful teeth and so far no health problems at all. Once she warms up to you she likes to sit in your lap and give kisses. She is good with other dogs. She is young and we require obedience classes, several walks a day, someone who is home much of the time to be with her and socialize her. Only the best, from this day forward - Dixie is in the land of milk and honey. Happy Days! Dixie Lee is vacationing in Norfolk, VA with Susannah and her family. Young Yorkies will have a higher adoption donation since they are the most highly sought after and they help to cover the costs of the older dogs who have a harder time finding a loving home. It is sad but true that people overwhelming demand very young dogs when they would be infinitely happier with a mellow adult.
