Pixar is available for adoption.

He is 8 months old and weighs 5 pounds.

His adoption fee is $750.00.

Potential Adopters - please do not apply for Pixar if you do not have a fenced in yard, can be home most of the day, and are an active family.  Another dog to play with would be nice but not necessary.

I've been with my foster family for about two weeks now and they said that not only am I the "bees knees" but  "I'm all that and a bag of chips" Wow! Who wouldn't want cute as a button me?? My foster family wants people to know that I definitely need to have a fenced in yard to run around and play in. Walks are great and I love them and need them, but having a backyard where I can run around like a bunny would be best. My foster family also says that I definitely need someone who is going to be home most of the day with me. I need someone to has the energy to play with me, walk with me, and also to snuggle with me when I'm pooped.  My foster family says I'm a really good snuggler. I have too much energy and too much love to give to be left alone for very long.  If you've got another dog, who you think can keep up with me and would enjoy a game of tug of war or chase, then that's even better.   My foster family says I'm not afraid to make my presence known. I like to bark when I see other dogs, when I hear my foster brothers bark, when I see the cat, or when I hear an unfamiliar noise. It's a cute bark though. So, if you are someone who has lots of love and time to give, has a fenced in back yard, is home most of the day and loves to snuggle, then you might be the someone for me. My foster family says they will wait as long as it takes to find the perfect match for me so put in your application today if you think you fit the bill.

PS-My foster family also wants you to know that I am smart but this whole housebreaking thing is still a work in progress. I do not use Wee Wee pads and my foster family would prefer that I learn to do my business outsideDog face

Pixar is staying with Allyson, in Nutley, NJ, until he finds his forever home!

KEEP THESE FACTS IN MIND:
1. Yorkies do not usually get along well with small children and can be injured by small children, even ones who love them. Be aware of this and keep them apart. 2. Yorkies can be very difficult (nearly impossible) to housebreak. If you are gone for more than 3 hours at a time, the dog will have to have access to wee wee pads, or need someone to stop in to let him out to potty.
3. We almost NEVER get a puppy (less than one year old) in Yorkie Rescue. If only a puppy will do, check the Yorkshire Terrier Club of America website for a recommended breeder - never buy over the Internet, or from a newspaper ad or a petstore. The heartache you save will be immeasureable.
4. There is no such thing as a "teacup" Yorkie, so don't be misled by such a description. LEARN about the breed BEFORE you decide to adopt.
5. You will need to make arrangements to drive and meet the dog at the foster home which can be in New Jersey, western PA, Maryland,  etc. The dog's biography lists where the dog is fostering. We want you to meet the dog with your family and your dog, if you have one. This is a requirement for adoption.

WHAT IS THE ADOPTION FEE?
Adoption donations generally vary from dog to dog, it depends on the health, the age and the size of the dog.

Young Yorkies will have a higher adoption donation since they are the most highly sought after and they help to cover the costs of the older dogs who have a harder time finding a loving home. It is sad but true that people overwhelming demand very young dogs when they would be infinitely happier with a mellow adult.

 ADOPTION AREA

Save A Yorkie Rescue prefers to adopt only in the PA, NJ, western NY, DE, MD, VA, some CT area's. If you are in the NYC area or near Long Island, there is a Yorkie Rescue closer to you.

Be aware that you will be asked to drive to meet and pick up your dog.
