Noella is a happy girl - tail wagging and ready for fun.

In the 2 months that she has been allowed to socialize with people and dogs, she has been a transformed dog.

When she first came to her new home she was scared and showed it towards other dogs and the cat. She had to be kept separated until she got settled in. No one had ever given her the chance to meet and play with other animals. But we did - and! LOOK!

Aggressive no more!!! Her foster daddy has worked with her, taking her to the doggie park which she loves and to meet family and friends who bring their dogs over so she can interact with them and she has just done a 360 turn around.

Noella is not a needy Velcro dog, she can be alone and be happy and she is patient. But she has a sense of humor - she makes up games as she runs around the house begging you to chase her. She's even starting to play with Emmie, the cat.

She loves riding in the car.

Sharing her food and special treats with the other dogs is not the thing she likes most but it is nothing to worry about. Just say her name and she backs off and lets the others eat first then she takes her turn.

Noella is so sweet and gentle now. Her foster mom and dad love coming home to her because she is the first one to greet them at the door - to jump up and give kisses when they get home.

She does great with going out to potty and walks wonderfully on her leash.

The vet guessed her age to be around 6 years but the way she plays we think she is much younger than that.

She would do well with other dogs and children older than 10 years of age.

Noella is vacationing near Allentown, PA.  A wonderful, playful, happy dog yearning for a family of her own. The holidays are coming, the cold will settle in - wouldn't it be wonderful to have a happy face greet you at the door when you come in out of that cold? And your bed will be a warmer place with sweet Noella cuddling in it. Call now.

KEEP THESE FACTS IN MIND:
1. Yorkies do not usually get along well with small children and can be injured by small children, even ones who love them. Be aware of this and keep them apart. 2. Yorkies can be very difficult (nearly impossible) to housebreak. If you are gone for more than 3 hours at a time, the dog will have to have access to wee wee pads, or need someone to stop in to let him out to potty.
3. We almost NEVER get a puppy (less than one year old) in Yorkie Rescue. If only a puppy will do, check the Yorkshire Terrier Club of America website for a recommended breeder - never buy over the Internet, or from a newspaper ad or a petstore. The heartache you save will be immeasureable.
4. There is no such thing as a "teacup" Yorkie, so don't be misled by such a description. LEARN about the breed BEFORE you decide to adopt.
5. You will need to make arrangements to drive and meet the dog at the foster home which can be in New Jersey, western PA, Maryland,  etc. The dog's biography lists where the dog is fostering. We want you to meet the dog with your family and your dog, if you have one. This is a requirement for adoption.

WHAT IS THE ADOPTION FEE?
Adoption donations generally vary from dog to dog, it depends on the health, the age and the size of the dog.

Young Yorkies will have a higher adoption donation since they are the most highly sought after and they help to cover the costs of the older dogs who have a harder time finding a loving home. It is sad but true that people overwhelming demand very young dogs when they would be infinitely happier with a mellow adult.
