Pastel is available and looking for the right family and home - see the requirements below. She is 2 years old and weighs 3 lbs. Her adoption fee is $600.00. Pastel, only 2 years old, with the sweetest of Yorkie faces, has blossomed into the happiest fairy dog in rescue. Pastel's life has changed for the better and she is so excited to be able to run and play. She demands to play fetch every morning with her foster mom. It is sheer joy for her to be able to run, using the leg that once collapsed at every step.
Pastel was surrendered to a kill shelter by her family when the daughter left for college. The shelter staff stared in horror as she struggled to move around the office. Then someone reached for the phone and called Save A Yorkie Rescue. Within 24 hours we had Pastel in our arms, her favorite blankey was laundered, she had a new harness, and was on her way to a surgeon for his opinion on her lameness. By evening, she was exhausted but safe in the lap of an adoring foster mom.

Pastel is so very delicate and yet active and playful, sweetly loving and happy. She loves her sibling Yorkie and her foster family. We now know what she needs in a new family - and here it is. If this sounds like your situation, please put in your application now. If this is not a fit, there are many Yorkies who might be a better candidate - look at them on our site. Here are the few simple requirements we are looking for in a new family for Pastel. 1. You have dog experience, preferably YORKIE experience. (i.e. you walk ALOT, with your dog on a harness, you brush her teeth once a day, you feed quality food, you visit the vet once a year for a check up, and you have a groomer who knows how to groom a Yorkshire Terrier.) 2. You have time to be with Pastel - not gone more than 3 to 4 hours routinely. 3. You have a Yorkie now or another small friendly dog who would love to play with Pastel. 4. You have a fenced yard for the pair to play in safely while you are out there with them. THERE! That is what it takes to qualify to adopt Pastel. It really isn't much, and it isn't exotic. We hope for the same for most of our Yorkies. But Pastel is ready and we want her to find the best home. Is it with you? We are waiting on your application. Thank you!
