Bou Bou

Ashely and Scott drove 3 hours to meet their new buddy. Bou Bou greeted them like a gentleman, showed them his tricks and took them for a walk around the neighborhood. When they returned Ashley said to Bou Bou, “Are you ready to go home?”. We know you will have a great life! Congratulations Bou Bou!!!

Averee

There were so many inquiries for Averee. One couple, Becky and Mike, showed great interest. When I emailed them to say her pending adoption with a pre-approved couple fell through, they called me immediately. They said they felt like they just won the lottery! Yes, they were still interested, and yes, they wanted her! Could they come get her now? The meet and greet was set for a couple days later after Averee had her dental and recovery time. They started shopping for a new harness and what not. The day finally came and it was love at first sight for all. Averee never stopped wagging her tail and was just as excited as they were. A neighborhood walk, photos, adoption agreement signed, instructions given... all happened so quickly. They were so excited for Averee to go to her new home and begin her new journey. She gave me a kiss goodbye as a tear rolled down my face. I knew she would be loved and spoiled with her new family, so it was mostly happy tears, even though I knew I'd miss that sweet, happy girl. We are now Facebook friends and talked again today. Averee made herself comfortable in her new home right away, after a visit with "grandma", who gave her a favorite snack of carrots. After following Mom around everywhere, she napped on Dad's desk while he worked. They absolutely adore her and would like to rename her "Pippa". Happy ending for all! Congratulations Avery!!!

Minney

Less than 30 minutes ago Sweet Minney left her temporary home here with us to make her way to Maryland and a new life!! The Thomas’s arrived at 2 pm and the #nealpack greeted them with barks and kisses all around. Toby, their 3 year old yorkie was polite and put up with everyone’s noise! We then went on a pack walk around the block to get acquainted and establish who would pee where :-) As usual Beau showed all his favorite spots to the pack and Toby found a few good ones of his own. Their daughter Cheyenne took over the lead for Minney while all chatted about our pups and love of yorkies. Minney gave her a present not long after and Cheyenne took it in stride. She didn’t bat an eye but pulled a bag from the container on her leash and picked it up. I thought it was a good sign of maturity. Right after that we returned home. All the dogs took a drink of water and played a few minutes before we got down to the business of adoption. I confirmed they still wanted to adopt as I sat in the chair looking at Minney in Cheyenne’s lap giving her lots of kisses and affection! I didn’t think there was any doubt. They were taking her home! But I always ask the question just in case. They were in love with her from the start. It’s hard not to love Minney. She is such a sweet dog. Congratulations Minney!!!

Mylow

Mylow was adopted today by Liz and Roger. After the loss of their dog, Bart, they needed time to heal before opening their hearts to another dog. And when that time arrived, there was Mylow. To say Liz and Roger were excited to meet Mylow would be an understatement. In the week prior to meeting him, Liz was busy ordering all the creature comforts that would be needed for the new addition to their family while Roger lovingly collected the boxes arriving daily at their door. When the day finally arrived to meet each other, Mylow ran to them like he had known them forever, tail wagging, jumping on their laps and planting big kisses! Liz then took some toys from her purse that she purchased just for him during her shopping spree. It was heartwarming. After signing the adoption agreement and going over paperwork, Liz pulled another purchase from her purse. She gently attached it to her new little boys collar. The tag said MYLOW, neatly printed on the back was his new forever address. Congratulations Mylow!!!

Gemma

Meet Rob, Liana, Bini and the newest member of their family Gemma!! Rob and Liana couldn’t wait to meet Gemma. In fact Liana immediately got on the floor to be closer to her. Gemma is so lucky to have found this forever home. Rob has had Yorkies for years, and Liana fell in love I think before she even met her. Gemma will hardly ever be alone. She will even go to work with Rob and little Bini every day with full run of Robs office and when at home will be fed home made treats by Liana. Gemma will surely be spoiled for the rest of her life. Congratulations Gemma!!!
