It is with utmost heartbreak and sadness that I must write that our deeply loved Yorkie, Felix - aka, Rocky, Frazier, went to Rainbow Bridge on June 3, 2006. In mid May he had gone into heart failure very unexpectedly and suddenly. Our wonderful vet pulled him out of it with medication, but then 3 weeks later Felix went into kidney failure, also very unexpectedly and very suddenly. With a bad heart and kidney failure both there is no treatment that could have helped him since the treatment for heart and kidneys is totally opposite and contradict each other. Our excellent vets and their very high tech treatment equipment tried their best to save him, but it just wasn't possible. Felix was so very deeply loved and had the best possible vet care any dog could possibly have had these past 13 months that we had him. We were so fortunate to have been given the opportunity to give him the very best in terms of care and love the last year of his life. I know he left this life knowing he was very, very loved as he died in our arms being kissed on every inch of his little body. Felix's mate, Oscar, - aka, Coco, Niles, seems to be taking it in stride. Most of the time he appears happy; he runs around and plays remarkably for an older dog. At times we can tell he is missing Felix though, just as we do. We are showering Oscar with extra attention and love so he won't miss Felix so much. Click a letter to find an animal or view all.
