Hot Coco They say timing is everything and that was certainly the case in finding a forever home for Hot Coco (now Sultan). He had over 100 inquiries but wasn't 100% ready for adoption until just recently. And it wasn't until just recently that we came across the ideal family for himâAlexis, Mike, and Starbuck. Knowing Sultan's fear of meeting new people and dogs, we did initial introductions outside on neutral ground. There was a huge sigh of relief as the pups gave each other a friendly sniff, and once inside, Sultan welcomed everyone into his kingdom. He and Starbuck were soon playing on the couch and living room floor while we chatted with Alexis and Mike. Sultan responded well to his new parents walking him when we all went back outside, and at that point it was clear he was ready to leave the nest for his forever home. He was a little clingy towards us as we went over his paperwork (it's like he knew something was happening!) But we put on our brave faces, gave him many hugs and said goodbyeâfor now. We hope to meet up at a SAY event or set up a playdate in the future! This was our first "success" after "failing" with our first foster, Willy. We're so glad we had the chance to help Sultan with both his socialization and medical issues. He has grown so much over the past 3 months and we know he will continue to thrive with Alexis, Mike, and Starbuck. Congratulations Hot Coco!!!
Harlee Our family decided to adopt Harley after only having him for two weeks. He just fit into our family perfectly! HeÃÂâÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂs so gentle and loving. He and Layla, (who we fostered and adopted back in October of 2018) get along very well. Layla is younger at 1-1/2 and Harley is almost 8 years old, but heÃÂâÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂs keeping up with her energy. In the short amount of time Harley has been with us, he and Layla have become friends! He enjoys being outside and taking walks. He loves to lay in the sunshine whether it be on our sonÃÂâÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂs bed or at the front door. He likes to sit on your lap and be scratched. He loves turkey and deer bacon! So far he has not shown an interested in toys or bully sticks, but we catch him watching Layla with hers, so maybe in time he will give them both a try. Just recently he decided to take one of LaylaÃÂâÃÂÃÂÃÂÃÂs favorite toys, her Woodstock and hide it on her. He walked the entire house, with Layla close behind, looking for a spot until he found one. We are grateful to have Layla and Harley in our family! Congratulations Harlee!!!
Hansel McDreamy Margaret, Mary and Duncan came to visit with Hansel and of course they fell in love! Hansel was very friendly and sat on Mary's foot as if he's known her his whole life. Duncan is used to having a brother around and loves to have a playmate. Congratulations Hansel, you are a very lucky boy!!!
Hello Sammie Hello Sammie is off to his forever home with Mary Laura who will provide him with all the necessities a young dog needs. She has promised to walk him a few times a day and to take him to obedience training and to brush his pearly whites. She will also provide him with all the other creature comforts our little four legged babies need. Congratulations Hello Sammie, you are one lucky boy!!!
Hudson Here they are, foster failures Ursula & Lou Gatti. They fell in love with Bandito immediately, he is such a sweet guy. He is the perfect gentlemen at home and is well mannered. They have great high energy walks around the neighborhood; his outdoor manners are improving. Bandito has adjusted to his sister Zoee. A few nods of affection between them have been noted. They seem to be getting along fine. Congratulations Bandito, you are a very lucky boy!!! Click a letter to find an animal or view all.
