Ely Ely went to his forever home with his new mom, Sandy and his new brother, Dunkin (yes, like the donut). Dunkin was also adopted from SAY, just a few years ago. Sandy drove 6 long hoursâ¦one way! and was so excited to meet him and Ely was excited to meet her too. They enjoyed their time getting to know each other, and Ely loved relaxing on Sandyâs lap, being scratched and offering big smooches in return. Sandy was in love with him, even before she met him, but after seeing him in person, thought he was even more handsome than in his pictures. When it was time for Sandy to make the long journey back home, with lots of hugs she commented âyouâre not getting him backâ! ð Live long. Live healthy. Live happy Ely...and Congratulations!
Marietta Marietta was adopted today by Nicolette. Her new mom will continue to help Marietta with her recovery from ACL and meniscus surgery. Nicolette will be taking Marietta to work with her and will be taking her most everywhere she can. I think Marietta is in the best home she can be in. I wish Marietta and her new mom all the best! Congratulations Marietta you are a lucky girl!!!
Mr. Finn Mr. Finn: Written, fostered and adopted by Susannah Broegler Sara and I picked up a nameless dog at the Norfolk Animal shelter on Thursday. He was surrendered by friends/neighbors after his owner died, without even a name. We fell in love with him immediately! He is truly the sweetest boy ever. We named him Finn and he's quickly learning his name. We think based on his health, behavior & physical condition, he was well cared for. We've tried to make him feel right at home and he's getting along great with Dutch, Nattie and Jack. Thus, we decided he was the perfect puppy dog to complete our pack. We look forward to making lots of memories with Finn and spoiling him rotten.
Juley Nancy and Bruce Philipp were here with their grown daughter Donna, and little Yorkie Nikki. The dogs met outside and got along just fine, so we brought them into the house, where they continue to play well together. In spite of Juley's small size, she was not over powered by Nikki. And I had never seen Juley so active and excited! The dogs played well together and now are sisters. Great job Cheryl! Good for Juley!
Sweet William Whatâs better than having your foster fur baby be adopted by a loving family? Having your foster fur baby be adopted by a loving family thatâs also your friends and lives 5 minutes away! Sweet William, now known as Buddy found his forever home with our family friends, fellow dog-lovers and each otherâs dog-sitters. William (aka Buddy) is thriving in his new home! He is eating well, continuing to gain weight and is growing beautiful, silky hair. It takes a special family to adopt a special needs dog and we are so excited that William (aka Buddy) has found his forever home with that family. We are even more excited that we get to continue be a part of his life. Click a letter to find an animal or view all.
