Isaac

Isaac is now in his forever home! His new family already has one little critter, Allie, who is really looking forward to having a playmate to run around with and negotiate ownership of some precious toys. The whole family made the trip to Connecticut to make sure Isaac was the right fit...and guess what??? HE IS! Isaac has now begun his forever journey into Yorkie happiness! Thank you to Save a Yorkie Rescue for making this yet another successful rescue of a precious little innocent life. To say that his foster siblings will miss him terribly is a gross understatement. We will be forever grateful to the wonderful family that has taken him into their home. They have also created a place for another Yorkie pup to be saved. Congratulations Isaac!!!

Inky

Inky was adopted to Keith & Matthew on Saturday. It was love at first sight! These gentlemen having been trying to adopt a dog for 18-months. They never gave up and refused to buy from a breeder. Saturday their dream came true. They live in Washington, DC ,which is perfect for Inky, who grew up in NYC. Although Inky has some anxiety, the guys are committed to giving him the best life possible and help him be the best dog he can be! From today’s report, it seems like Inky is adjusting super well! He’s loving his city walks and time in the park. He went shopping with his Dad’s today for new harness, leash and rain coat and enjoyed brunch outside. Inky had a tough time these last few years but is now in an amazing forever home. I have no doubt his anxiety will quickly improve thanks to the security & love he will feel with Matthew & Keith. Congratulations Inky!!!

Indy

Wednesday September 18th was a very happy day for me. It was the day I was officially Indy's new mommy! As it was known, Indy came into rescue with an issue involving her left leg. In the beginning we were not sure how severe her issue was until she was seen by a very respectable orthopedic surgeon and it became clear that Indy had a very complex issue that required surgery. Surgery was scheduled at Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital in Collegeville PA. When I returned to pick her up after surgery the doctor advised that it was a very intense surgery and it would take some time to see if it was successful. You can only imagine how difficult it can be to keep a one year old quite and confined. At the same time I was also fostering Rudy and older boy Yorkie. After many follow up appointments with fingers crossed and anxiety high the doctor shared that Indys leg was healing but again 4 more weeks of confinement. I realized early on that I was getting very attached to this little girl who needed so much love and understanding as she continued to heal from an injury that affected her from walking normally and pain free. I made the decision that I had spent and given so much love and time to her and hopeful for a successful recovery that I informed the team that I wanted her to become MY little girl. We are still in healing mode for another 4 weeks along with therapy hoping that the will eventually put that leg down all of the time but if not I accept whatever she can do with that leg because I love her so much and will take her with a limp! So many people inquired about Indy mostly I'm sure because of her beauty and not really understanding the severity of her injury but I knew and in the end it makes no difference. She is my little girl and I love her so much!

Itsee Bitsy

Itsy Bitsy new name is Lacey. Her new family came to her meet and greet and they all fell in love. Lacey even met her new playmate the Pomerian (Tiff). They got along good, everyone was very happy. I could not have planned for a better outcome. The Bradley family grew by four paws and unconditional love. Congratulations Itsee Bitsy!!!

Isabella

Isabella was adopted by Tara and Matt. Her new family also includes her Morkie brother, Jake. Tara initially drove more than an hour to have a quieter meet and greet between Jake and Bella. Tails wagging, toys flying, the two got along nicely. Returning home, and talking with Matt and her family, they decided to make the long drive back that same day to adopt Isabella. She is enjoying walks and lots of play time, and loves cuddle time with her new family too! Tara says that Isabella and Jake are already like two peas in pod! Congratulations sweet Bella!!!
