Pretty Pepper Pot

Pepper has been with us a month now and we have all adjusted. The best thing we could hope for is that Lola is definitely happier to have a canine companion. Pepper keeps us on our toes much like a puppy and is escape artist. We are fine now leaving the two together, but rarely do both of us leave at same time. Pepper follows her dad all around and goes down to basement with him when he works, curled up in her bed. She sleeps with us as have all our dogs and has adjusted to our schedule. She devours her food and anytime someone goes in kitchen, she follows. Her 14th birthday will be celebrated on 7/16 two months after she arrived here. We were originally told she was 15 but even 14 is hard to believe. She acts like a puppy and certainly younger than Lola who is 12. Besides dad, squirrels are her main focus and she has gotten Lola into the act. Lola is losing her vision but is doing well. The Opaleks are again a multi-dog family. That is a good thing. Mary

Jack B Nimble

Jack B Nimble: Fostered by Susan Biddle and adopted by Karen Salvia-Mottler This is Jack in his new home! He is on his Wrapped In Love blanket, and his new mom sent this photo and a message to the WIL person already (he was adopted 24 hours ago!). His blanket had a casino theme, so my family started calling him BlackJack!!!

Bodie Blue

Bodie Blue was fostered by his family and they decided he was too good to let go. So Bodie is staying put and loving it. Look at those happy faces!

Mikky Doodle

Mikkey came into rescue in bad shape. Winston was originally known as Mickkey Doodle. He was surrendered by a couple from New Jersey around thanksgiving time last year. He had been tied up outside because of his pooping and peeing in the house and because of his midnight barking. We took care of his medical needs and waited for the applications to come in. None did. We didn't know who would give him a home. He was very lucky. He went to an absolutely wonderful family who fostered him, cared for him and decided to keep him forever. What a lucky dog - Mickkey is. Now known as Winston. Good for you pretty boy!

Wesley

Wesley is another very lucky boy. He didn't have a chance to be adopted. He was older and in bad shape. No one wanted him - a boy, larger, with health issues... no this dog didn't have a chance. If not for the wonderful family who said they would take him in as a foster forever - forever, if necessary. Well forever is still going - Wesley was adopted by the Gosnays and he joins the family of dogs they have saved. Good for you Wesley, boy. You ARE worth something. You are a million dollar sweetheart. You have a home now. God bless!
